FROM THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Ceramics and Glass Design Department has been founded under Fine Arts Faculty in 1997 and started education and training in 2000. Post Graduate Education has been started as Ceramics and Glass Department in 2009 departmentally under Institute of Social Sciences .
During 4 years of undergraduate education, students are being trained in artistic and industrial fields due to their own preferences. With our academic program which supports interdisciplinary education, students have the opportunity of determining their profession by the elective course options within the faculty and the university programs.
The Ceramics and Glass Design Department is contributing to the education of our students with its specialized studio in addition to its specialized staff in artistic ceramics, industrial ceramics and glass arts fields.
Ceramic and Glass Design Department graduates, as well equipped individuals suitable for the emerging technologies, have the employment opportunities as designers or managers at the factories in the industrial field or at the art workshops in the field of art as well as being educators at academies.
Our aim is to educate the students as competent, productive and collective contributors in their profession with the theoretical and practical trainings given.
