Mission
This education aims to provide students with the environment and opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of ceramics and to cultivate contemporary artists who embrace universal artistic thought and values.
Vision
Ceramic Art and Industry, a sector combining art, design, and technology, is among the top five markets in Turkey and the top ten globally. Our graduates can find employment as designers and managers in the ceramics, porcelain, and glass sector, one of the fastest-growing sectors in our country. They can also pursue professional careers as freelance ceramic artists and designers, or specialize in academia and become academics.
Departmental Opportunities
Students in the department can double major in Traditional Turkish Arts (Tile Design and Repair, Carpet, Rug, and Traditional Fabric Patterns, Calligraphy, Illumination, ASD) and Painting.
Special interest courses are available for Artistic Ceramics Design and Industrial Ceramics Design students. Through ERASMUS agreements with Spain, Italy, Latvia, and Portugal, as well as the MEVLANA agreement with Kazakhstan and the FARABI program, students can study at various universities in Turkey. Furthermore, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) bilateral cooperation agreement signed with Jingdezhen Ceramics University, one of China's prestigious educational institutions, in 2024, our students are offered the opportunity to participate in international events such as fairs, exhibitions, and workshops.
